This is a generator module designed for the Timberline K-8 School in Longmont, CO.
This peoject won the People’s Choice Award at the fall 2015 design expo in the University of Colorado Boulder.
The plunger mechanism pushes the magnets through the copper solenoid; then the bridge rectifier turns the output completely positive, and the output of this circuit is monitored by the Arduino board, which subsequently lights up a string of LEDs dependent on the voltage generated.
